Pixie Dust Challenge #21 Use Kraft in your project

I made this Father's Day card for my Grandson to give to his Daddy. The challenge was to use Kraft in your project. The image is called "Buddies" from Pixie Dust. I used a CB folder on the Kraft paper to add a little dimension. The image was colored with water color pencils and Copic Markers. The little boy is cut out and colored separately and dimensions were added to lift him out from the flat picture. I used a bristle brush and pounced some yellow and brown ink on the background of the image and on the sentiment background. Buttons are from S.U. The sentiment comes with the Buddies image when you order it. (a happy surprise!) The colored papers are from S.U. (Handsome Hunter and Real Red) not sure about the yellow (scrap). I did a little bit of doodling around some of the edges.

Stretch N Bubbles Sketch Challenge #5

I love this image from Stretch N Bubbles. Her name is Sabrina Bird. She looks like she has a really good sense of humor and is kind of whacky too! She doesn't care what other people think..."Girls Just Want to Have Fun"! (That's her motto)
I colored her with water color pencils and copics. Added Crystal Laquer to her eyes and inner tube for a little shine. The sand is Heat & stick Powder w/Dazzling Diamond Glitter on a torn piece of paper that looks like sand. The papers are S.U. I used 2 CB folders to emboss the Very Vanilla paper. The sentiment was done on Photoshop,(FONT IS LMS HIPPY CHICK), then colored the flowers with my gel pens from Costco. All the flowers are from Prima. The large ones were cut down to fit in the corner and along the scallopped oval which was cut with Spellbinders.

Pollycraft challenge #42 Summer card

I'm entering this card in the Pollycraft Challenge #42. "Summer" http://pollycraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ The image used is the cute little bee from Stretch and Bubbles http://snbshop.blogspot.com/.

I ran across this style card on a blog (can't remember where) but I thought it was different, so I changed it up for my own design. I printed BEE YOU on photoshop and scored, cut, folded and colored the letters and the bee. Sentiment is also created on Photoshop.

Papers are from Stampin Up. The fence is cut with the Word Window Punch from S.U. and pieced together. Little flowers are from the "stash". I put black seed beads in the center of the small flowers and sprinkled some diamond dust glitter on them. The large flower is a punch of a flower that I folded to fit the corner. Leaves are cut by eye. 1/2" circle in center of flower.

The bee's antenna are done with wire and a bead that was dipped in glitter afterward. Gems are from stash. Black cs was used as the main base of the card. I had fun doing each little panel.

Mo's Challenge #29 Masculine

This is the first challenge I've done with Mo's Digital Pencil. The challenge is for a masculine card. This is a "little boy" type masculine card. Hope that's okay. My grandson needs a card to give mommy for Mother's Day,and this "Super Duper Boy" image is perfect for him.
I love Mo's images! She really captures the expressions and temperments of the characters that she draws. I did the coloring with Copics and water color pencils for his skin. The red and blue papers are all Stampin Up. The white paper w/polkadots was done by me, along with the doodling around the image. The sentiment was written out with a marker and attached to a paper-covered chipboard shape.

Michelle Perkett Challenge #27 (Either or)

It's a good thing this is "Either Or"! I started out with the sketch that was given to us by Nancy, and ended up kind of doing the sketch, but missing a few parts! So many times I've started out with a vision and ended up with a surprise. This is one of those times!
I couldn't pick a favorite image if I tried because I love them all.....but I've had "Pearl" for a while and really loved coloring her! She was done with water color pencils. I added lots of gems to her hair and clothing. The papers used were from my scrap stash and I used CB embossing folders for the white and the blue paper.

POLLYCRAFT CHALLENGE #41 MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWERS

This is the card I made for Pollycraft challenge #41 (Make your own flowers). The image is of Fluffy from Pollycraft. He looks a little mischievious and so he has picked some of the flowers he sees and is hiding them behind his back. I love this cute little monster!

I saw a tutorial for this type of stair step card on http://juliedavison.com/ . She has directions that you can print out for your own use.

I colored Fluffy with Copic markers and put some crystal laquer on his eyes to make them shine. The flowers were punched out with a Stampin up punch and cupped. I glued the flowers to wire and inserted them into the grass with glue dots. The grass is made with my blade runner and glass mat. Paper for grass is from P.T.I. blue and green print stack, and the ribbon is also P.T.I. "New Leaf". The sentiment was created by myself on my Photoshop program.

This was a fun project!! I will be doing more of these when I have extra time for crafting, because they do take a little longer to make than a regular card.

Karens Doodles Challenge #8 Mom/Feminine

The name of this sweet little image is "Love at first Sight" from Karen's Doodles. She was colored with water color pencils w/gamsol, and copics were also used. I added some little dots and x's on the bunny's body and a little heart on the cheek. I doodled around the edge of the image and on the printed paper. I added a little bit of S.U. dazzling diamond glitter to her skirt.

The flower was done with a flower punch. The leaves are cut from S.U. small oval punch and pinked along the edge, wet... then crumpled. Button is from stash. Sentiment w/frame was created on my Photoshop program. CB embossing folder was used on the light pink background and on the horizontal strip of orange.

This is the sentiment I created in Photoshop. I added a little bit of doodling around the edge. All paper used was Stampin Up.....Pumpkin Pie...Pink pirouette...Regal Rose...and from the print pack. Scallopped edges were done with S.U. punch.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #2 Mothers Day

The image is "Heartfelt" from Tiddly Inks.....(Perfect match for Ryder). I used watercolor pencils w/gamsol to color him , and stickles on his little flowers. The paper for the main card is S.U, close to cocoa . The other 2 browns and beige and white were scraps in my stash. The small flowers are done with a S.U. punch and cupped on a foam mat. The little leaves were cut from a random heart punch and cupped on the mat also. The gems are from my stash. I used the S.U. scallopped punch for some of the edges. C.B heart and swiss dot folders were used on the brown paper.

I had some little brown and amber colored beads in my crafting box that I put in the center of the large flower. These were attached into the center of the flower with Crystal Laquer.

"I HEART Mommy" was done in photoshop.

Close-up of the paper flower..... It's the first time I made these, and am surprised at how sturdy they become after they are dry! I saw the tutorial for these flowers on Splitcoast Stampers. I made the leaves with the same method,but I used the small oval from S.U. and clipped around the edges with pinking shears before wetting the paper. FUN STUFF!

This is the inside of the card. Sentiment was done on photoshop....My son Eric helped me decide what to write. The little boy in the picture is my grandson Ryder.....I chose the image for the front of the card because the scruffy hair reminded me of Ryder's hair. I enhanced his hair a bit on photoshop to make it look more scruffy than usual for this card. We thought his hair was like a little Mon Chi Chi pet when he was newborn. Love this kid!!

DZ Doodles Challenge #7 Sewing

This challenge was to have some sewing on your project. The sewing on my card is faux (I hope that's ok). The image on my card is from DZ Doodles. The name of the image is "Cheap Sunglasses". I think she's adorable! This is another card I made for one of my grandchildren to give to Mommy. The purple background purple was just some scrap I found in my small pieces of purple folder. The border punch is Fiskars. The sentiment and verse inside were done by myself on Photoshop. The flowers that are in the corner are cut out of some printed DP that I've had for YEARS. I cut out various parts of the DP so I could layer them to add dimension to the card. The little piece of ribbon and gems are in the stash. The embelly in the corner of the image was cut on the sizzix sidekick. I made my stitches with poked holes and purple gel pen. The sweet little girl was colored with water color pencils and a gel pen flower on her hat with stickles added. I put a little bling gem on each shoe and Crystal Laquer on her sunglass lenses. She is "Miss Thang" isn't she? Loved coloring her!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #9 White on White

This was a fun project! We were to use color only on our image. The rest of the project had to be all white. This cute little bear was a freebie from Cheryl.... So cute! He was colored with Copics and gel pens from Costco. There's a little sparkle behind the bee done with stickles. The border punches were from Fiskers and the embossed layers are done with Cuttlebug folders. The ovals are done with Spellbinders. The Flowers and corner embellies are done with my little sizzix sidekick. The largest flower was done with a punch. The pearls and the ribbon was found in my stash! This is a card for one of my grandchildren to give to Mommy. Since there is a bumble bee on the image I thought the sentiment inside would go well with this card. All the sentiments were done on my Photoshop program.

Stretch N Bubbles Sketch Challenge #3

This is the first challenge I've participated in with SNB. I love the quirky little images she has. This is my take on the sketch for this week. I've used the Fashion Bird Image for my card. Isn't this bird just "ALL THAT"? She is colored with Copics and gel and glitter pens for the line work.
The "Stylin'" sentiment is computer generated on photoshop.
The Ribbon is from PTI. and the papers are from Stampin' Up. "Choc. Chip.....Close to Cocoa....
and the DP is from a 6x6 SU paper pack. The pink flowers are sizzlets. All the pink paper is from my scrap stash. This sweet Bird could be just about any color you could imagine. She really is "Stylin"!

Michelle Perkett Studio Challenge #26 Color Combo/Easel Card

This is the first "easel card" that I've made. I like the way these are set up, so I thought I'd try my hand at it.

I used Michelle Perkett's cute little "Magical Birthday Sprite" for my image on the front of the card. She is colored with Copics and water color pencil w/gamsol. The sparkles on her wings are Stampin' Up's "Dazzling Diamonds" glitter.

The little packages are from another one of Michelle's images "Cutie Patootie Mermaid"...So Cute is she!

The cardstock used is from Stampin' Up.....Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise, and Certainly Celery. The white cardstock is from PTI's Paper Basics.

The little flowers and gems are from my stash.

These easel cards are like creating a little scene......I enjoyed doing this, and glad to have the opportunity to participate in this challenge. Thanks for looking!

PollyCraft Challenge #40 Sketch by Sue

This is my first challenge with Pollycraft, but I just adore her little Critters and Cogs! We had a sketch to follow this week by Sue.

I used the little "Critter with gift" from Pollycraft. I used photoshop elements to arrange him in different sizes. The look like a bunch of little Wild children running to get in the door at a party!

I colored the Critters with Copics. All my papers and embellies are from my stash. I used the crop-a-dile for the large eyelets. I did the sentiment with photoshop.

I had lots of fun coloring these little guys all different colors in one sitting!

Karen's Doodles Challenge #7- A Recipe

This is the first challenge I've done for Karen's Doodles. Her images are adorable! The recipe for this challenge is to use 2 patterened papers...1 ribbon...3 brads or gems...and a border. The stamp image is from Karen's Doodles digi image. It's called "A Friend in Need" and it features sweet little Bigsby the mouse bringing some soup for poor little Herbert the turtle whom is not feeling well. Aren't they so cute?

The base of the card is done with PTI cardstock color Ocean Tides. The two patterned papers are from PTI also in the Green Boutique paper pack.

The sentiment is a rub-on from Stampin Up. The border bunch is from Fiskars. The pearls are from my stash and so is the white ribbon and the little green gems hanging from the bow.

I colored this image with copics except little Bigsby which was colored with water color pencils and gamsol. I cut out the white oval behind the image with spellbinders scallopped oval. and embossed it with the swiss dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

Tutti Frutti Under the Sea

I love this little mermaid! She looks to me like she would be in one of those venues where visitors could view her. She seems to be posing for her admirers. I used Certainly Celery green from Stampin Up and 2 other shades of Purple/ Lavender from my stash.

I put a piece of acetate through the cuttlebug and mounted it with dimensionals, so it wasn't laying right on top of her. The lace is from my stash also. It's actually white, but really takes on a lavender hue on the card.

The word "love" is a rub on that I just happened to have laying around and the doodles are done in white Gel Pen.

And of course this beautiful Mermaid is from Michelle Perkett Studio.

This gorgeous fairy is the "Amore Fairy" from Michelle Perkett Studios. Her images are all so awesome!!!....Thanks Michelle! Paper is from Stampin' Up.
