MPS Challenge #41 Anything Goes

Michelle Perkett and her new DT are having a challenge this week called "Anything Goes" .  I decided to get another card done for my Christmas card collection.  I used this beautiful image by Michelle Perkett called "Holly Fairy".  I think she is just gorgeous!  You can see Michelle's beautiful designs and inspiration for your crafting here.  Her new design team has done a wonderful job giving us some awesome samples of their work with Michelle's images.  You will be amazed!  Check it out.
Here's my card entry.
I colored Holly Fairy with Photoshop Elements.  Added glitter to her wings and her white fur and the snow on the branches.  The green paper is Wild Wasabi from Stampin Up. The white was embossed with the cuttlebug.  The punches used are from MS for the leaves in the upper right corner and for the little border near the bottom.  I used little red gems from my stash on the border and a square gem in the middle of the red flower from S.U.  The snowflake in the upper right is from my stash as is the red flower, which I added glitter to also.  The 1/8 inch ribbon is Offray from Michaels.
Here is a close up of the beautiful Fairy.  The starbursts in the glitter were added with Photoshop so you could see just how blingy it is.
Thanks for looking!  I'm glad to be building my Holiday card assortment this early in the year.  Usually I'm scrambling in November and December to get them all done!  Thanks to Michelle and the DT for this challenge to light a fire and inspire me to get crackin' on these.  I hope you like her!

Glitterbabe's Challenge #6

Here's a card I made for the challenge over at Glitterbabe's here http://glitterbabeschallenge.blogspot.com/  Hop over to her blog to see some awesome inspiration and have a couple of giggles.  There's a Glitterbabe badge that I've added to my sidebar that will take you straight to her shop if you'd like to browse the adorable hand-drawn images that she has.  I promise you that they will spark your coloring/creative imagination!
This challenge is to use the colors black, purple, and pink.  The image is called "Bird on a Branch", and I chose her because she looks like she would love to wear pink and purple and glitter on her feathers.  She just has that "Miss Thang" look about her "teehee".
Papers are S.U. for the black cs and pink dp.  DCWV for the purple dp used behind the image and on the inside of the card.  Flowers were cut out of the purple dp, shaped and stickles added to the centers.  The leaves are from a MS punch.  Butterfly is a MS punch (I cut the centers out of the wings) and put stickles on it.  The lattice is also a MS punch cut from white paper.  The sentiment was generated on PSE by me.(sorry I can't remember which font I used)  The image was colored with copics, gel pens, and stickles.  The ribbon was in my stash as well as the gems in the upper left corner.  This was a fun challenge!  The image is so quirky and cute (she was fun to dress up in glorious BLING)!

Deedee's challenge "Very Vintage"

This challenge was to make a vintage style card. I used Deedee's "Bloom Where You're Planted" set of digis. It comes with this sweet image and 3 different sentiments: One of which I used here. Check out her blog to see lots of inspiration, and this will lead you to her store if you would like to order some images. http://craftingwithdeedeesdigis.blogspot.com I also have a link to her store on my side bar if you want to go straight to the store. I love Deedee's images and she's such a sweet lady to boot! DP is EK Sucess "Natural Bamboo" and a small piece of script paper from my collection. The beige paper is from stash and the black base is S.U. I used the cuttlebug to emboss the oval. The leaves around the flower is a MS punch. The pearls are from my stash. They are a very light lavendar color even though they look white. The flower and the antique brad are also from the stash as is the lace. The image was colored on PS Elements and I added some white gel pen and some glitter for the sand and inked around the edge with brown ink.
I used a MS punch on the inside with the same paper that was used on the outside of the card. Thanks for checking it out. Have a great day!

Color Challenge at CDAC

This card is for the color challenge over at CDAC. The colors to use are Green ,Yellow and Cream. Isn't this a beautiful sunflower? It was given to us by Priscilla Heaton to use for the challenge. You can go over to her blog-store here http://patriciastyles-store.blogspot.com to see her amazing designs and customizing kits. The sunflower image was printed in green for the background of the center element and then printed in black for the forground sunflower and colored with copics. Stickles are in the center and on some of the petals.
Papers are all S.U....Always Artichoke for the base and Wild Wasabi for the front panel which was embossed with cuttlebug "thank you" folder and the high spots were hit with green ink in my stash. The cream color is S.U. Very Vanilla. The paterned paper is from S.U. Prints Pack. The ribbon and the pearls are from my stash!

I printed the main sunflower twice and cut out parts of it to add a layer with dimensionals just to give it some extra depth. Talk to you all later.

1-2-3 Challenge at CDAC

New challenges up at CDAC! This one is for the Other Theme Challenge. The theme is 1-2-3. Use 1 border, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embellishments. This cute little dinosaur is a freebie from Stamping Dragon Designs. Love his face! You can check out all the other cute images and lots of scrapbooking and stamping needs and wants here at http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/ Papers used are...PTI Aqua mist for base.......S.U. Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, and prints pack....DCWV Retro Prints. White is from stash. Ribbon is PTI Summer Sunrise. The sentiment was created on Photoshop Elements. The Dino was colored with Photoshop Elements. The balloons are Making Memories Page Pebbles attached to paper that I doodled and shaded. The gold cord for the balloons is from S.U.
This shot would not come out very clear, but I wanted to show some of the inside also. I like to handwrite most of my sentiments inside my cards, so I wait until the card is needed. I can't believe that I have NO bling on this!! It's unusual for me! Hope you like it!
