Glitterbabe's Challenge #6

Here's a card I made for the challenge over at Glitterbabe's here  Hop over to her blog to see some awesome inspiration and have a couple of giggles.  There's a Glitterbabe badge that I've added to my sidebar that will take you straight to her shop if you'd like to browse the adorable hand-drawn images that she has.  I promise you that they will spark your coloring/creative imagination!
This challenge is to use the colors black, purple, and pink.  The image is called "Bird on a Branch", and I chose her because she looks like she would love to wear pink and purple and glitter on her feathers.  She just has that "Miss Thang" look about her "teehee".
Papers are S.U. for the black cs and pink dp.  DCWV for the purple dp used behind the image and on the inside of the card.  Flowers were cut out of the purple dp, shaped and stickles added to the centers.  The leaves are from a MS punch.  Butterfly is a MS punch (I cut the centers out of the wings) and put stickles on it.  The lattice is also a MS punch cut from white paper.  The sentiment was generated on PSE by me.(sorry I can't remember which font I used)  The image was colored with copics, gel pens, and stickles.  The ribbon was in my stash as well as the gems in the upper left corner.  This was a fun challenge!  The image is so quirky and cute (she was fun to dress up in glorious BLING)!

  1. Oh, this card is gorgeous. I love the bird and all the bling. TFS.

  2. Kathy,
First Thank You for the kind comment that you left for my Stampotique entry. Jasmin I just love her. And I just love your work. I love the sunflower card you have up. Thank You again for taking time to visit BJ's Blog & leave such a kind comment. Have a good one. And keep up the stunning work that you are doing.

  3. You have created the most gorgeous flower trellis! And that GOERGEOUS bow - love wide ribbon, such an impact! And of course your colouring just takes the biscuit. I think I'll go and bury my Copics in back yard now.
As to card stash - well, it's still impressive, just not enough "male" cards. According my husband. Bhah. But I DO panic when I run out of certain type of card, usually it's Thank You cards. And then, if I need one, I go through the options, decide that none of them actually fit the person and have to make a new one anyway...aaarrgghhh!!

  4. Fabulous card Kathy!!! Stef's birdie looks everybit like she should be in Glitterbabes house :D Thank you for joining in at Glitterbabes Challenge XXX
