Guylou's Inimitability September Sketch Challenge

Congratulations to Guylou's Inimitability for reaching 150 members in her group! She generously is giving this cool image away called "Eleanor 3". Does her activity look familiar to any of you? I thought.....what a great thank you card to give to one of your girlfriends who may be hosting a little stamping get together! So.......Guylou is also having a September challenge over at CDAC which ends on Sept. 30. Where did the month go? It's a sketch challenge that you can use any of her images on, and there has to be blue somewhere on the project. Here is where the challenge info. is. And you can browse around Guylou's store here. She has some great images! The DP is from Papertrey. The polka dot paper is from DCWV summer stack. Ribbon and gems are from my stash. Cardstock is from S.U. Sentiment and flower is also from S.U. I used the S.U. scallopped circle punch around the sentiment and the corner punch up by the image.
Eleanor is colored with Photoshop on her skin and Copic markers for the rest of the image. I used glittered and plain gel pens for the little pencils and gems in the little jar. She is attached with dimensionals to bring her away from the DP behind her.

I put the same papers inside the card with plenty of room to write a little note. Thanks for checking this out! Hope you like it. Let me know what you think if you get a chance.

"THERE'S MAGIC IN THE AIR" challenge

Hi Crafty Friends! There's a new challenge going on over at "There's Magic in the Air" this week. We are to get our inspiration from the picture over to the left for our project. I chose to go with the "colors" on this one.

Nina is generously offering a freebie this week which I used here. It's called "Flower Cupcake with Butterfly". Go here to get in the challenge and to pick up your freebie to use. Or you can browse around Nina's store "Paper Cupcakes" here if you wish to select another image. She has lots of cute ones to choose from. The DP used here is from a DCWV summer stack that I've had for a couple years. The dark green cs is from SU called "Handsome Hunter". Corner scroll is cut with a Sizzix die. The sentiment was done on Photoshop. The yellow paper and gems are from my stash and the bling is done with Stickles.
I printed the cupcake twice on white paper, and "just" the icing four times on a light yellow DP. The image was colored with Copics and glitter gel pens and then layered up with dimensionals. I doodled a little on the butterfly with black and orange. Then I sponged around the edges of the oval with orange ink and added stickles to the icing. I adheared the same papers to the inside of the card which you can see in the picture below.
I hope you stop by and check out this challenge and give it a go. Have fun with it! Have a great day!

Pollycraft Challenge "No Designer Papers"

Hi! Here I am again with another card I created as a Guest Designer for Pollycraft. This is the final submission to complete the month of September as GD. I had a wonderful time creating with these sweet images! Thanks to Paula and the Pollycraft DT for giving me this oportunity. This is for the challenge "NO DESIGNER PAPERS". Again I decided to add to my Christmas card supply with one of the NEW Pollycraft images for Christmas. This image is called "Cuthbert and Kiki Sleigh". Aren't they the sweetest little cuties? Here you can find this image and a treasure of others that will spark your creative imagination. Whether you're creating for Christmas or birthdays or many other occasions and celebrations, you're sure to find just what you're looking for. Now here is the card I designed with "NO DESIGNER PAPERS". This card is an A2 size card. S.U. cardstock used is Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, and Pink Pirouette. The Cranberry color is from my stash. Cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder was used for the pink and vanilla panels. MS punches were used for the leaves and the cranberry borders. The red flower is from my stash. The sentiment is also from Pollycraft "Christmas sheet #2". Snowflakes were punched from very vanilla and glued behind the sentiment. Here is a close-up of Cuthbert and Kiki.
These sweet cuties were colored with both Photoshop and copics. I cut them out and adhered them with dimensionals at a little up-hill angle. The snow was done with "Scribbles" 3D paint "Glittering Crystal". Kiki has stickles added to her cuffs and hat. Cuthbert has "Scribbles" Irridescent White Mist added to his jacket trim and his hat. Stickles were added to the swiss dots behind the image.
And here is the inside of the card below.
The same cs colors were used as on the front. I have not added a sentiment yet. Sometimes I handwrite a personal greeting and sometimes I stamp one of the sentiments with rubber and ink. Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you like what you see.

CDAC Holiday/Special Occasion Challenge

Here's another challenge from "Crafters Digital Art Center". This one is sponsored by Paperfacedesigns. Theresa has offered for this challenge an awesome freebie of a Halloween Boot called "Boots and Bling" Isn't it so cute? Check out Theresa's Etsy store here where you'll find her talented artwork along with some cut files and cross stitch patterns. So Theresa wanted us to bling up the boot! YAY! Right up my alley! Love Bling! Here's my "Boots and Bling" card below. The boot is SO cute! I would want one if my toes curled up and if I could actually wear a shoe with a heel these days. How do you like the sentiment? "LOVE!" It's from Tracy Vinson over at CDAC. She has given this and a Thanksgiving Sentiment to us. Thank you Tracy! I was looking at her page over at CDAC today......WOW this girl has some serious gorgeous talent! Check it out here. You will be engorged in some wonderful "Eye Candy". Tracy...Love your work!
On with the rest of the deets....Purple paper is in my stash. The background spider web paper is from Designer Digitals. They have some cool Halloween stuff! That shiny sparkly paper that is on the boot and bordering the spider web paper is called "Pearl Paper". I got a pack of it from a scrapbooking convention, but I don't know what company it came from. I made the big spider from a 1/2" circle punch and the legs are from the S.U. small oval. White gel pen was used on his legs and for his eyes. I used "Crystal Laquer" on the little spiders to raise them up a bit and make them shiny. All the gems and pearls are in my stash. Now the inside below. This card is going to one of my girlfriends.....Thus....the verse suits us grown ups who love to eat Halloween candy ourselves. I don't know where I found this verse, but I think it's hillarious! I saved it to my computer a few years ago. It was very poor printing quality so I retyped it on the spiderweb background paper after fading out the middle. The font I used is "Stereofidelic". I got so much enjoyment decorating this boot and then to top off all my fun this little verse was the "cherry on top"! Hope you like it!

CDAC Sketch Challenge #6

Hi! It's been a while since I've gotten in on some of the challenges on CDAC. I love all the choices for the challenges that we've been given. This "Sketch Challenge" is sponsored by Laurettas Digital Stamps. She has some adorable images to choose from at her store. They are all only $1.50. Amazing! Lauretta has given us a sweet Winter Cardinal image to work with for this challenge. She also has a freebie on her website every Monday! This is my take on the sketch using Lauretta's image. First of all the sketch is below.

This is the front of the card.....The image is on top of a piece of acetate that I used for the window. I "made"some curtains by running a piece of DP from SU through my crimper a couple times and pinching the paper together and tying a narrow ribbon around the pinch. The curtains are placed under the acetate. I used some polkadot paper from my stash for the wallpaper inside the window.I used some "White Mist" 3D paint from "Scribbles"for the snow and sprinkled glitter on top for some sparkle. And of course the little Cardinal had to have a few little sparkly snow flakes on his wings and tail. Below is a close up of this chilly little birdy. The sentiment used is from Designer Digitals. This company has tons of papers and designs to choose from. I'm starting to get quite a collection from them. They also have freebies so you can try them out before you buy. And last of all the inside of the card is below.Products used for this card are as follows. Paper...Real Red and Black and curtains are from Stampin Up. Snowflakes are punched from a Marvy Punch. Sizzix sizzlet used for the scrollwork in the corners. Gems, Ribbon, and DP (other than the curtains) are from my ever growing collection of fun stuff. Thanks for visiting.

Pollycraft Challenge "Cute and Cuddly"

This is my third submission as a guest designer for Pollycraft. I love the images I have so far, and I'm sure I will be collecting many more. I've really enjoyed coloring them and designing with them. I'll bet you will feel the same when you check out the blog and the store here .
This week's challenge is "Cute and Cuddly".......Here's my card with cute little "Willie".
The little baby image is from Pollycraft. His name is Willie. The papers are digital papers from Designer Digitals. The name of the paper set is "Winken Blinken and Nod". I made the papers really small and pieced them together like a cuddly quilt. Each square is shaped and attached with dimensionals. The sentiment and the stitching is also from Designer Digitals. The star is a Marvy Punch. The pearls are from my stash. The base of the card is "Very Vanilla" from S.U. as is the green and blue card stock. I used Stickles on the tiny yellow stars and also on the large purple star. Now.....would somebody please have a baby "boy" so I can use this card? And of course...... we always love to have "new" babies around! Have a great week!

Pollycraft Challenge "Autumn Colors"

Here is another challenge from "Pollycraft". We are to use "Autumn Colors". I chose to create a birthday card in these colors. The image I used is from Pollycraft and is called "Cuthbert Balloons". Isn't he just the cutest little bear? You will find Cuthbert here in several different situations along with his fairy friends, and monster pals, and robot cuties, and lots of other sweet characters to spark your creative imagination. Check out the store and the blog for some fantastic inspiration from the very talented DT. You'll love what you see.
Here is my card. This is a square card. It looks a little rectangle because it's slightly open so it will stand up. A close up of Cuthbert is Below.

Cuthbert and his balloons were colored with Copics. Balloon strings are bronze cord from S.U. His eyes, nose and all the balloons are coated with Crystal laquer to make them shine. A view of the inside of the card is Below.

The sentiment is from TLC. Papers are S.U. "Ridinghood Red" and Papertrey "Summer Sunrise". Black is from stash and I'm sorry I don't know the manufacturer of the DP as I've had these for years and there is no lable anywhere on them. The Gems are from "Studio 18" which I bought at Michaels. The ribbon is Offray. I used a S.U. punch for the upper and lower right hand corner embellishments.

It's so great to have a break from the "Steaming Hot" summer weather here in Michigan! I'm so looking forward to the cooler weather of fall (But not the mess after fall!). I love autumn temperatures and the gorgeous colors! I loved using these colors on my card!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate your interest and love to read your comments.

Pollycraft Christmas "No Red or Green"

Hi!
I'm one of the Guest Designers for Pollycraft this month. This is my first time doing any GD position. Pollycraft has some really awesome images to choose from! To see lots of wonderful images from teddy bears to monsters check out the blog and the store here.

This week's challenge was to create a Christmas project without using any red or green. The image I chose for the challenge is called "Evie Waiting for Santa". I think she is totally adorable, and I love the image of a child watching to see if they can see Santa in the sky.
All my paper is from S.U. Flowers are from my stash. I punched the snowflakes out of silver paper doilies. The leaves are from a MS punch. The border punch around the image is from MS also. I stamped the blue bg paper with white snowflakes and embossed them and then put the paper through the cuttlebug embossing folder. The stars outside the acetate window were printed on blue cs and I chalked around the stars with white then I added glitter and Stampendous "Class a' Peel" stickers for the stars. The wall and pajamas were printed on S.U. patterned paper and paper pieced. I colored Evie with copics and her bow in her hair is done with a glitter pen. The sentiment is from the "Christmas sheet 1" set from Pollycraft. I cut the sentiment from the circle to put under her hand.

Here is a look at the inside of the card. I haven't added the sentiment or verse yet. Thanks for looking. I hope you like this "No Green, No Red" Christmas Card!

Pollycraft Challenge Christmas..No Red or Green

Here's another card I made to add to my Christmas card stash. This is such a cool image from Pollycraft! It's one of the new Christmas images. I couldn't resist using this image on the "NO GREEN, NO RED" challenge. You will find Luna Bitterfrost here along with lots of other "really cool" and "really awesome" and "really cute" images to play with. The name of this image is "Luna Bitterfrost 'Frosty'. The sentiment is also from Pollycraft and is from the "Christmas Sheet 2" set.

Here is a view of the inside of the card. The sentiment was generated on Photoshop using the "Stereofidelic" font.

On to the "deets"....Cardstock is S.U. Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Bright Blue. Lavender and Fuscia is paper from the file box. I got the silver glitter snowflakes years ago from Joann's. The ribbon is part of my growing collection of ribbon. I used Dazzling Diamond Glitter from S.U. for the snow and the bg. The leaves were done with a MS punch. The scalloped circle around the sentiment is punched from the S.U. scalloped circle punch. The little bling on the scalloped circle and on Luna's hat are from Stampendous. I used a cuttlebug folder to emboss the bg before I added the glitter. The image and the sentiment were colored with Photoshop Elements. The snowman is cut out and attached with dimensionals to raise him in front of Luna. This is a really different Christmas card for me! I had fun coloring Luna and her snowman. Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
